What you’ll do

Join Maryam Eka Bouteldja and others from our library and visitor experience teams in a creative-writing workshop inspired by items from our collections. You’ll be looking at a selection of images and texts on subjects such as poetry, Frankenstein’s monster, and amalgamation.

You’ll participate in several activities, such as word games, creating centos and blackout poetry, to help you think about how to create something new out of what already exists. You’ll then have a chance to write your own piece inspired by the items you’ve examined.

The workshop is open to all levels, from beginners who want a place to start, to more experienced writers who may be looking for a spark for their next piece.
