What you’ll do

Explore the exhibition ‘Jason and the Adventure of 254’ through a range of performances, including storytelling and dance, immersive puppetry and music. The evening is hosted by charity CW+, which brings its Arts for All programme to hospital wards.

You will be able to join in with creative activities throughout the evening, and all materials will be provided. This is a relaxed event, so you can move around to take part in the activities on offer.

The evening will feature three performances from Akademi, Pluck and the ChelWest Singers at these approximate times:

  • 17:30 Pluck, mini-theatre shows using music and puppetry
  • 18:30 ChelWest Singers, the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital staff choir
  • 19:30 Akademi, a South Asian dance company

We’ll be in Gallery 2. To get there, go up the stairs or take the lift to level 1.

Place not guaranteed

Booking a ticket for a free event does not guarantee you a place. You should aim to arrive 15 minutes before the event is scheduled to start to claim your place. If you do not arrive on time, your place may be given to someone on the waiting list.

Waiting list

If this event is fully booked, you may still be able to attend. We will operate a waiting list, which opens 30 minutes before this event starts. Arrive early, and we’ll give you a numbered ticket. If there are any unfilled places just before the start time, we will invite you to enter in order of ticket number.

This event will have British Sign Language interpretation.

Relaxed

This is a relaxed event, which means that if you need to, you are welcome to move around and make noise at any time.

Pluck is a series of sensory mini-theatre shows, using puppetry and live harp music, created for patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Pluck has been developed by CW+ Resident Arts for All artists Joni-Rae Carrack and Mark Levin, whose performances encourage people to interact and engage.

ChelWest Singers

Performer

The ChelWest Singers are the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust staff choir. Led by CW+ Arts for All facilitator Natasha Lohan, a musician, performer and teacher, the choir practises a varied repertoire during its weekly rehearsals in the CW+ Studio.
