What you’ll do
Take the traditional life-drawing class a step further by creating the setting for your models to pose in before you draw them. In this workshop, you’ll spend the first half of the day designing and making the props and set-dressing for your models, to a themed brief. The rest of the day will be for drawing the models posed against the backdrop of your creations.
You’ll be able to draw in different mediums, with models from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. The models will wear a variety of clothing that shows and enhances their bodies. Whether you already love to draw or would just like to try something new, the workshop is open to all levels.
All art materials are provided, and there will be regular breaks throughout the workshop, with a longer break for lunch. Lunch is not included, but we will be providing snacks and drinks.
This event is designed for 14- to 19-year-olds and disabled young people aged 14–25 years. We may ask your age at the venue to make sure you’re the right age for our youth programme events.
This is a relaxed event with a chill-out space with ear defenders and fidget toys available.
