This is the first in a series of three programmes which trace the image of the scientist, as portrayed in cinema. The màd scientist', working alone on crazy experiments has been an enduring cinematic image, from Fritz Lang's Mètropolis', to Eddy Murphy's crazy professor in T̀he Nutty Professor'. Includes clips from various films.
