About this work
Description
Are British scientists who experiment on animals under siege from the Animal Liberation Front? The programme looks at the fall in animal experimentation and the reasons for this. Students are increasingly reluctant to experiment on animals as part of their education, while scientists too are questioning the validity of experiments on animals for drugs that will later be used for humans. It is still generally thought by scientists though that a certain amount of animal experimentation is necessary.
