Description

The second and third in a seven-part series which dramatises the life and work of Paracelsus (1493-1541) whose medical teaches and practises outraged the 15th century establishment, but are now thought to be forerunners to today's medicine and even to medicine to come. Part 5 sees Paracelsus battle against the Basel authorities and the Medical Guild. In Part 7 Paracelsus and Oporinus head for Nuremberg where paracelsus hopes to write his books. The Medical Guild challenge him to treat 15 patients with syphillis which he succeeds to do, thus proving his reputation as 'Prince of Physicians.'
