About this work

Description

Animal activists argue that their unlawful actions in support of their cause are justified by the ineffectiveness of legal measures to defend animals from the cruelty of scientific and medical experiments and from hunting and the fur trade. The legal complexities involved in the prosecution of activists are explained and the programme traces a propaganda war between LYNX (the anti-fur campaign) and the fur trade. Contributors include the Rev. Prof. Andrew Linzey (University of Oxford), Robin Webb (Animal Liberation Front), John Wadham (Liberty) and Dr. Mark Matfield (Reserch Defence Society.)
