About this work
Description
"ROOTS colouring zines are all about mindfulness, creativity, getting back to nature and raising money for vital causes whilst we are at it. Part sketch-book / part zine, this limited edition artist colouring book celebrates two very specific plants: the fern and the dandelion. Why those two plants? In 2018 Bryony&Bloom worked with a St Mungo’s homeless project in London to create a mural in the garden of one of its shelters and residents chose ferns and dandelions as the subject, a reference to themes of resilience, hope, protection and an ability to grow almost anywhere. Filled with hand-drawn illustrations interwoven with facts and folklore, this zine is an invitation to bring these plants to life with crayons, pencils and paints in whatever way you wish - there are no wrong colours! Each A5 zine is printed, assembled and signed by Bryony in the studio. There is also this Spotify playlist ROOTS: Colour with Bryony&Bloom to inspire as you colour."----From zinester's website. https://www.bryonyandbloom.com/shop/p/resilient-roots-colouring-zine
