Description
3-part series, presented by Michael Buerk, an ex-smoker, on the medical and social history of cigarette smoking and the tobacco industry in Britain and North America since the Second World War. In this part Buerk looks at the damage done to his own lungs from smoking and talks with snooker player Alex Higgins who now has throat cancer. He also investigates the secret strategy developed by tobacco companies during the sixties and seventies to protect their interests.
