About this work
Description
Notebook containing mainly pharmaceutical formulae (including a recipe for cholera mixture, f. 19v.). Also included are brief notes of midwifery cases attended, including cases at Camberwell Workhouse, March-November 1854 (ff. 41v.-43v.). The bulk of the entries date from 1849-1854, with a few additions up to 1877.

Transferred as a gift from the Greater London Record Office, 1990.
Ownership note
Label of a stationery supplier 'W Dean, Stoke-upon-Trent' on the front paste-down. Signature, possibly of the compiler, on f. 89v., 'John Clarke. Lime[?] Fields, Middleton.'
