Description
First day cover envelope issued by the Royal Mail Group Ltd. on Thursday, 8th October 2009 on the theme of eminent britons (commemorating anniversaries of their birth). It has all 10 stamps stuck to it and they have been cancelled by the official first day of issue (Sherlock Holmes, 150th anniversary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) cancellation stamp. Also includes a stiiffener with brief biographies of all ten people : Fred Perry, Henry Purcell, Sir Matt Busby, Mary Wollstonecraft, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Donald Campbell, Judy Fryd (Founder of MENCAP), Samuel Johnson and Sir Martin Ryle.
