    If we analyse the cause of death of the 28 children who died under the age of one year we find that 17 took place during the first day, another 1 during the first week, 1 during the third week, 6 within the first and third months, and 3 within the third and sixth months of the year. Of the causes of death, 12 were certified as primarily due to prematurity, 7 to broncho-pneumonia, 1 to other diseases of the respiratory system, 2 to congenital heart disease, 3 to microcephaly and encephalocele, 1 to oeso- phageal atresia, and 2 to multiple congenital abnormalities. The Still-birth Rate—20.50 this year compared with a five-year average of 19.63. Dental Treatment.—With the surgery at Sunnybank Clinic being equipped in October, 1967, routine treatment of expectant and nursing mothers and young childrent can now be undertaken. The dental surgery at The Wylde Clinic is now equipped with a modern unit. An Airotor and a compressor have been installed. A.
