Description
A fusion between two Drosophila egg chambers caused by a Notch mutant follicle cell clone. The blue fluorescent probe highlights the molecule FasIII (fasciclin 3), a transmembrane molecule that is involved in cell adhesion and occurs particularly at junctions between tissues of different developmental fate. The green probe highlights the RNA-binding protein Staufen, which mediates the tranport along microtubules of mRNa from genes that determine polarity.
