About this work

Description

"This pamphlet is the second in a series on industrial health hazards, diseases and safety, being produced by the British Society for Social Responsibility in Science (BSSRS). The first pamphlet was on Noise … Much of the information, standards and sampling etc done in the area of industrial health is done directly, or indirectly, by scientists working for management. As a result the available industrial health literature often underestimates the health hazards to working people. One of the main reasons for producing this series of pamphlets is to present the arguments on a particular issue (eg noise, oil) clearly; so that the people directly affected may control the setting and maintaining of their own health and safety standards."-- From inside front cover.
