Description
A profile of artist Alison Lapper who was born with a rare chromosomal abnormality. She is 3 foot tall with no arms and very short legs. We follow her through her daily life with 5-year-old son, Paris, as well as seeing footage of her when she was a baby and hearing her stories about how it's been to grow up profoundly disabled. The programme ends with the creation of Marc Quinn's huge statue of Lapper in Trafalgar Square.
