Contrasts the fragility of humankind, on the right, with the succour provided by the Cross, on the left. Behind, a temple with three arched windows inscribed Pater, Filius and Spiritus (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost), and with three springs of water labeled Charitas and Spes (Love and Hope; the third, Fides or Faith, is unlettered)

Daniel 7 ; Fragilitas humani generis ; angelis suis mandavit de te ut custodiant te in omnibus viis tuis ; Ioannes Baptist[a] de Cavalleriis excudebat 1568 Lettering continues with Bible quotations in Latin at foot, and religious aphorisms in Latin on the crosses and on the buildings in the background. The cross which Christ is carrying bears the words "Iugu[m] eni[m] meum suaue et onus meum leve. Qui vult venire post me abneget semetipsu[m] et tollet + [i.e. crucem]"
