The benevolent perfons engaged in this im- portant charity have already provided a houfe, in a fituation * eligible for the reception and cure of perfons affli<£led vv^ith infe6tious fever, and vi^hich, with the precautions obferved, is not liable to en- danger the vicinityThey have furnifh^d it with every requifite, appointed officers and attendants, and have raifed funds adequate for beginning an in»- ftitution, which, they confide in the interefls, as- well as the humanity of the community, for per- petuating. They are now engaged in fearching for, and removing infected perfons to the houfe of recovery, where they receive all the aid that air, cleanlinefs, attendance, fuftenance, and medicine can bellow. The moft approved means are employed for purifying the houfes, furniture,, and clothes of the difeafed, and fuch articles as cannot be rendered innoxious, are deftroyed and replaced.
