Description

Episode in: G. Colman and D. Garrick, The clandestine marriage, Act II, scene I. In the background is a sculpture of the three Graces clothed in robes. In the centre sits Lord Ogleby, having just got out of bed: he is suffering from rheumatism. Canton on the left is Lord Ogleby's Swiss servant, who is bringing his master the morning's newspapers, while on the right, Brush, Ogleby's valet-de-chambre, prepares a restorative for him
