Largitur natura parens pia tegmina brutis,/ Arboreumq́; genus gemino quoq; cortice velat:/ Solum hominem nudum in luminis abijcit auras,/ Damnat & obstrictum vinclorum nexibus arctis. P.G. 1563 ... Lettering repeated in Dutch and French. The latter reads: "Arbres, poissons, oiseaux & tous animaux,/ Venans au monde ont toute leur vesture/ Mais l'homme seul y vient nud par Nature,/ Souffrant sans coulpe un millier de travaux". The naked woman is marked 'Natura' Bears number: 1
