Leopold und Leisewitz, Geburtshilflicher Röntgen-Atlas. Römmler & Jonas, Dresden. Lettering attached to the print is on a separate sheet and reads: "Skeleton of a mature child (boy). Strongly developed bones. A proof of maturity can be seen in the points of ossification in the epiphyse of the femora and that of the proximal epiphyse of the two tibiae. On the foot are to be seen, besides the others, which are easily recognizable, the points of ossification in the calcaneus and talus. The points of ossification in the os cuboideum is missing, although it is usually to be found with mature children. The points of ossification in the os hyoideum can only be indistinctly discerned. The remainder of the skeleton can be easily understood."
