Description
The results of a 4-month study into bird flu and the measures being taken to avoid a human pandemic. Jeremy Farrar, working in Vietnam with the flu virus, talks about how it's affecting people there. The programme looks back at the last influenza pandemic during the 1st World War. It is estimated that between 54,000 and 750,000 people might die if there were a pandemic. We hear from various health professionals and other relevant parties such as poultry farmer, Jan Van Kampen.
