![being, Our Judge Advocate now and for the time being, the Secretary or Sccretarys to Our High Treasurer of Great Brittaine or Commis- sioners of Our Treasury now and for the time being, and you yc said Charlies Fox and David Craufoi'd, Our Commissioners for Our said Royall Hospitall at Chelsea and the out-pentioners thereto belonging ; and We do hereby give and grant uuto you Our said Commissioners,, or any five or more of you, full power and authority to settle and ascertaine what proportion and kinds of victualls you shall judge most convenient for diet of such pei'sons as now are or shall hereafter be entertained or fedd in Our said Royall Hospitall, and to make con- tracts and agi'eements with any person or persons for ye furnishing the same at such rates and for such times as to you Our said Commissioners, or any five or more of you, shall seem best, as also for clothing ye said persons belonging to ye said Hospitall, and washing ye linen to them and every of them belonging ; and likewise to keep in good order, repair, and maintaine ye severall courts, gardens, walls, avenues, and lights belonging to Our said Hospitall as to you, or any five or more of you as aforesaid, shall seem most proper for ye better accomodacou and good government of ye same; and we do hereby give and grant unto you Our said Commissioners, or any five''or more of you as aforesaid, full power and authority to nominate, constitute, and appoint from time to time, such and so many under officers and servants as are or shall at any time or times hereafter be wanting in Our said Hospital), and remove or displace them, or any of them, from time to time as to you Our sai I Commissioners or any fiA-e or more of you shall seem meet; and generally to do and performe all such matters and other things as you Our said Commissioners or any five or more of you in discretion shall thinke necessary for ye good government of Our said Hospitall : And We do hereby direct, require, and command you Our said Commissioners to prepare and present to Us for Our Royall ajiprobation, such establish- ment or establishments as you shall think proper for ye expence of Our said Hospitall, and for ye out-pentioners of ye same, and also to observe and follow such further orders, directions, and instructions as We shall at any time or times hereafter give under Our Royall sign manuall relating to ye said Hospitall or ye government thereof. And We do hereby direct and command that in all cases whatsoever where any order, warrant, or warrants are now or hereafter shall be to be signed for ye payment of any sum or sums of money for any use or uses of ye said Hospitall, such warrant or warrants, order or orders, shall be signed by you Our said Commissioners, or any five or more of you. And we do hereby impower you, or any five or more of you, to examine into ye qualifications of any persons at present in Our Hospitall, or upon the out pentiou thereof, and to discharge such of them from any further provision as you or any five of you shall judge to be not duly entituled to ye same; and do hereby further declare Our will and pleasure to be that no person be admitted for ye future into Our said Hospital], or as an out pentioner, but by warrant under the hands of five or more of Our said Commissioners, with what shall be sufficient authority as well to the Commissary for mustering them as to the Treasurer or his Deputy to pay to the said outjjentioners, such allowance as is or shall be directed by Our establishment or i^egulacon in that behafe ; and lastly Our will and pleasure, is, and We do hereby require and command that you Our said Commissioners and every of you do diligently attend ye execution of this Our Commission in all things as becometli.
