Contents

The subjects of the 10 items are as follows: 1. The evolution of medicine: the introductory poster contrasting medical practices and payment in traditional times and under previous regimes with the new fair and scientific system introduced by the new communist regime. 2. The control of infectious diseases: symptoms, identification (smallpox, plague, diphtheria etc.), isolation, control and prevention. 3. Environmental hygiene (I): practical steps in keeping the home and workplace clean, together with measures to prevent and control disease and pests. 4. Environmental hygiene (II): as above but focused on the water supply and dealing with animals. 5. Hygiene in the workplace (factories): keeping industrial workers healthy and safe. 6. Healthcare for mother and child: pre- and post-natal care for mother and child. 7. Nutrition and healthcare: people with conditions caused by malnourishment, the proper foods to combat the condition, and the resultant healthy individual. 8. Hygiene at school: practices to keep schoolchildren healthy and disease-free. 9. Health in the countryside: simple exercises, keeping water pure and clean, prevention of pests and disease etc. 10. Hygiene and travel: fumigation of aircraft, inoculation of travellers etc.
