About this work

Description

Possibly a magazine insert or leaflet issued by Bovril, probably about 1920. It is printed in red and pale blue on white paper and shows several sailboats, a steamship and a rowing boat on a calm sea, clouds billowing behind them, a large Bovril logo in the sky. Text on the reverse promotes the nutritional value of Bovril and the fact it can be eaten or drunk as a hot beverage and is much better than beer or alcohol, after which "man is more miserable than before."
