Copy 1 Vol. 4 Note: 39 [40] pts. This vol. lacks front. and prelims. (t.p. and Contents leaf) and is numbered III on spine but corresponds largely to vol. IV of copies in BM and Univ. Coll. Lond. It comprises pts. 122-59 and at end p. 3-14, apparently from pt. 160; pt. 121 is wanting. Both the BM and the UCL copies are different issues from this omitting some of the parts--by design, as shown by their lists of Contents (BM omits 123 and 160, UCL 123, 127, 152, and 159-60). The vol. includes Mrs. E. Inchbald's 'Animal magnetism' and medical characters appear in plays by T. Holcroft and T.J. Dibdin.
