Description
False colour SEM of pancreatic cancer cells grown in culture. The pancreas secretes enzymes and hormones, such as insulin, that aid digestion. Pancreatic cancer develops when cells within the tissues of the pancreas grow abnormally. Pancreatic cancer can spread rapidly and signs and symptoms may not appear until pancreatic cancer is quite advanced.
