Jenni Murray interviews Sarah Bakewell about tattooing and body piercing. Sarah is one of the curators of the Metamorphing Exhibition at the Science Museum. She is joined by Laura Simpson, who has 36 piercings and is also heavily tattooed. They attempt to provide answers to the question of why Simpson and others, are drawn towards what many regard as a form of self-mutilation.
