An increasing number of children are being brought up as the opposite sex due to remarkably early diagnoses of gender dysphoria. This documentary introduces some of these children and their families. Hormone drugs are given to produce the puberty of the opposite sex but these drugs don't come without risks - in particular when testosterone is given to girls wishing to live as boys. Testosterone stunts growth and means that infertility is inevitable. Furthermore, statistics show that the majority of children with gender dysphoria will grow out of it by the time they reach natural puberty so is the intervention of hormone therapy pushing them into making life-changing decisions
