Description

Amid clouds and angels above the sarcophagus sits the Prince of Wales holding a bludgeon in one hand and pointing to a gentleman on the left who appears to be making a speech to another gentleman on the right. The female figure of Justice holding a balance sits beside the prince. At the front of the tomb is a medallion of Sir Robert Walpole.The print refers to the Prince of Wales's support for the election petition against Walpole in 1741
