Description

The interior of a room. On the right a seated woman stretches out her right foot, to which an old woman applies a cupping glass. The old woman has spectacles on her nose and a funnel on her head. Behind her, almost on the middle of the floor, a fat man sharpens a surgical instrument (translation of Bartsch's description)

Kopster. Zet ij de koppen maar, zei dikke Piet tot Tryn, ik slyp de vlymen vast, het zal haar heel cuveeven, en word Lys flau, en helpt geen veurschootband noch wyn, Dan zal ik aanstonds met myn spuytding haar klisteeren. ; Corn. Dusart fe et inv 1695.
