No. 1 is extracted from the 'Fundamenti della Scienza chimico-fisica', published at Venice in 1770, by Vincenzo Dandolo [1758-1819]. No. 3 is extracted from the 'Opuscoli scelti sulle Scienze', Milan, 1778-1803, edited by Carlo Amoretti [1741-1818] and Francesco Soave [1743-1806].
