Starts with a simulated heart attack in a male patient on the ward, the actions which the staff do around the sudden emergency and how they identify a cardiac arrest. Very much of its time; with hospital switchboards and a doctor on call with a shortwave radio. Focuses on correct procedures (cardiac massage) and their rationale for working (on a skeleton/model). An increasing number of medical personnel appear after the call goes out. A staff nurse talks to camera emphasing the need for health staff to know the correct cardiac procedures for their ward.
