Album containing: satirical and other subject prints; portrait prints; pamphlets; newspaper cuttings (advertisements etc.); trade cards and handbills; a watercolour (fol. 27r) and a few MS letters. Many items are dated and annotated in MS. by Purland, and most are about dental surgery in Purland's time

Mounted at front of vol. are a printed slip with list of Purland's titles, his diploma of M.A. and Ph.D. (Giessen), 1857, with English translation, his silhouette and MS. pedigree
