These notes were probably compiled for Ogle's Paper in 'The Lancet' 1859: i, pp. 156-158, 'On a case in which the operation of castration was resorted for the cure of epilepsy'. This operation is referred to in the first letter.

1 volume 54 ll. 8vo. v.s. Unbound, loose in cloth covers labelled as above. Written mainly on sheets of 8vo. note-paper, many embossed with the crest of the Oxford & Cambridge Club.

Purchased 1931.

Biographical note

The author obtained his M.D. at Oxford in 1857 having been elected F.R.C.P. in 1855. He was Physician to St. George's Hospital 1866-76, where he founded the 'St. George's Hospital Reports' in 1866 [see the Dictionary of National Biography].
