Description

Photograph of a medicine chest and its contents, which include six glass bottles with silver tops, a silver cup and funnel, and a silver box of apothecaries' weights. The photograph of the medicine chest is included in the publication Catalogue of an Exhibition illustrating The History of Pharmacy, an exhibition held at the Wellcome Research Institution, London, 4 May - 28 September 1951. According to the inventory card, the medicine chest was acquired from George II in the 1930s for the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum, but is no longer held by Wellcome Collection.
