Photograph of an announcement dated 4 May 1893 of Lister's election as an honorary fellow of the the Edinburgh Medico-Chirurgical Society. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
