About this work

Description

Typescript copy statements (without date) of various witnesses (Wellcome, Sudlow, Searl, Collett Smith and others) relating to a dispute between Mr. John Roger and Burroughs, Wellcome & Co regarding the production of Tea Tabloids.

Henry Wellcome: "Mr Roger's Patent has never been worked [sic.] and from the first he proposed to depart from it. The process we are now working under was developed in our works while Mr Roger was an employee of ours and I learned for the first time during the hearing of this case that he has made an application to patent this process. Mr Roger came to us with crude ideas and we have had all the expense and trouble of working them out" ["Proof" - sheet 4 of 13].
