Peckham: General

Material from the various accessions has been integrated within this section. Very few original files survived: most of these are therefore artificial groups of related material. A good deal of material on Peckham can be found in sections D and E, as well as the Minutes, etc in section A. It should be noted that from the list of files in B.5/14 that a large quantity of London office files from the second (post-war) stage of Field Experiment have not been located and must presumed not to have survived. The material collated in this section has been divided into 6 groups representing the various stages of the Peckham Project. B.1 Pilot experiment 1925-1929. B.2 Planning the next stage 1929-1935. B.3 Field experiment: first stage 1935-1939. B.4 War years 1939-1945. B.5 Field experiment: second stage 1945-1950. B.6 Closure of field experiment 1950-1952. The samples of members records, tabulations of patients and other patient material in SA/PHC/B.3/4-5 is closed until 1 Jan 2040. The sample case records and records of babies born to members at SA/PHC/B.5/8/1-2 are closed until 1 Jan 2050.
