About this work

Description

Calculations, graphs and charts of data relating to the comparison of diffraction patterns obtained from DNA fibres made with potassium (K), sodium (Na) and Rubidium (Rb). The graphs depict the measured intensities and densitometer readings from the various x-ray diffraction images obtained with the different salts. The data was subsequently used in a published article, ‘Molecular Structure of Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA)’ by Robert Langridge, William Seeds, Herbert Wilson, Clive Hooper, Wilkins and Leonard Hamilton, published in Journal of Biophysical and Biochemical Cytology, vol 3, no 5, 25 Sep 1957. Original file title ‘Rb & Na 56’.
