Description
Letters from James Jurin, as Secretary of the Royal Society, relating to Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723), his correspondence with the Royal Society, and his gift of silver microscopes bequeathed to the RS in his will. The Society responded by presenting Leeuwenhoek's family with silver plate bearing the organisation's arms.
