Description
Correspondence between Professor Tadeus Reichstein, Organisch-chemische Anstalt der Universität Basel, Nobel Laureate in Medicine 1950, and Sylvia Simpson (later Tait) FRS and James Tait FRS, at that time of the Middlesex Hospital Medical School, about their research which led to the isolation of electrocortin (aldosterone), 1952-1959; abstracts of the letters, with explanatory notes; reprints relating to this research.

Sylvia A Simpson Tait (nee Wardropper, subsequently Simpson) died in 2003 and obituaries can be found here, here and here
There is a useful overview of the joint careers of the Taits here, although at present the description of archives relates to material believed to be at the Royal Society (it does not form part of the material held in the Wellcome Library)
The material held in the Wellcome Library only relates specifically to the work on electrocortin (aldosterone).
