Also his work at Liverpool Medical Institution is well documented, with details of opthalmic surgery and case photographs surviving.

Biographical note
Thomas Herbert Bickerton (1858-1933), was a distinguished opthalmologist. He also wrote a Medical history of Liverpool from the earliest days to the year 1920 published by his son in 1936.
