General and Executive Committee

Until 1931 there was one committee, referred to as 'The Committee'. From early 1929 a sub-committee met between General committee meetings. From May 1929 there were fortnightly meetings of the General committee with the sub-committee, and quarterly meetings of the whole General committee including the representatives of co-operating hospitals. From September 1930 the full General committee meetings were held every six months and the smaller committee meetings monthly. From February 1931 this smaller committee became known as the Executive committee.
