Wellcome Historical Medical Museum display of twelve daguerreotype photomicrographs made by Leon Foucault originally published as Illustrations to Donne's Atlas (1845) which accompanied his Cours de microscopie (1844). The daguerreotypes were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1929 and accessioned in 1950 (accession numbers R1/1950, R2/1950, R3/1950, R4/1950, R5/1950, R6/1950, R7/1950 and R8/1950).
