Notes

This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "One man sprays himself with a soda siphon while an empty gin bottle lies on the bed. A tube with a teat on the end is attached to the top of the gin bottle, enabling the drinker to consume the gin when the bottle is closed. At the time when this card was produced, at the beginning of the twentieth century, it was still commonplace for men to share beds for reasons of economy, and there would have been no 'gay' inferences to be drawn".
Probably a pair with a card showing Saturday night
