RESEARCH AREAS
medicinal alkaloids, notably hyoscine, hyoscamine, atropine, also jaborandi and its chief alkaloid pilcarpine. Also the chemical constitution of ascara bark, salicyclic compounds, commercial chrysarobin, epinephrine etc.
Published widely, especially 1896-1910 papers to the Chemical Society
Died as a result of a car collision on Gorse Hill, Farningham, Kent. Funeral Service was held at Golders Green Crematorium Aug 14th and a Memorial Service was held at Dartford Parish Church on the same day.
