Description

Cast of an original statue held in the Louvre Museum, France. The item was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum, accessioned in 1935 (accession number 42/1935) and put on display, but is not held by Wellcome Collection. The photograph of the statue was taken to be used as an illustration in medical diaries produced by Burroughs Wellcome & Co.
