Photograph of two images showing bacteria. Figure 1 (top) is from a section of a lymphatic gland from case of tuberculosis in a foetal calf. Stained by Ehrlich-Koch method (methyl violet, Bismark brown a cosin). Figure 2 (bottom) is from section of a lung from a case of inoculated tuberculosis in a rabbit. Stained by Ehrlich-Koch method (methyl violet). This image was reproduced from Crookshank, Edgar M; An introduction to practical bacteriology : based upon the methods of Koch, London : H.K.
