Cases include sudden deaths from a variety of natural causes, accidents (including medical accidents, especially anaesthesia-related), suicide, and criminal abortion, also suspicious deaths of infants, as well as cases of murder and manslaughter. Among the cases of particular interest: acute tonsillitis, 24 May 1945; smothering during an epileptic fit, 30 May 1945; woman knocked down by lorry, 1 Jun 1945; case which received penicillin treatment, 2 Jun 1945; 3 women killed by bullets, and man who committed suicide by shooting, 15 Jun 1945; veronal poisoning, 2 Jul 1945; Nembutal poisoning, 3 Jul 1945; acute meningitis, 17 Aug 1945; chronic alcoholic poisoning, 24 Aug 1945; some inserted notes on cases
