About this work

Description

Camp Tecumseh in New Hampshire was founded in 1903 by three athletes from University of Pennsylvania: is that the same as this one "near Schenectady"? The photograph shows two buddies camping, L. Johanson with his arm around Alan King. The latter was probably the Alan King aged 25 from Norwich who travelled to Schenectady, New York, on RMS "Olympic", leaving Southampton on 3 April 1912 (passenger list on website of Titanic Historical Society). In December 1912 he was at 1003 Nott St., Schenectady, N.Y.
